昨天晚上去民歌餐廳聽歌的時候，
居然有首歌曲在連續四場的表演中重複被唱過，
那就是"Tie a yellow ribbon around the ole oak tree"
原來是這首歌曲的原唱Tony Orlando即將在本月22日於台北開唱，
難怪每位歌手都要來上一段他的歌曲，
這首歌曲的內容來源一個真實故事：
一個因為倒閉破產而服刑三年的丈夫，
在出獄之前寫了封信給他的妻子，
問她還是否願意接納坐過牢的他，
如果願意的話，他出獄那天請在家門口的那顆老橡樹上繫黃絲帶，
如果沒有看到黃絲帶的話，那他就會識趣的離開，
不過在返家的公車上，這位丈夫不敢去接受最後的結果，
就請司機幫他看個究竟，最後謎底揭曉--
老橡樹繫著數以百計的黃絲帶在上面！
而整部公車上的乘客也為這位返家的丈夫歡呼起來，
這個故事不但成了一首膾炙人口的歌曲，
也成為美國普遍的風俗，在家門前樹上繫黃絲帶來歡迎久別歸來的親人，
本歌曲翻譯作"老橡樹上的黃絲帶"，
單字"ole"應該沒有"老"的意思，正確是"old"才對
(有很多翻唱專輯的歌名也是"Tie a yellow ribbon around the old oak tree")，
不過本歌曲背景是在美國南部的喬治亞州(Georgia,位於美國東南邊)
"ole"的發音可能算是美國南部的方言，
所以才有這樣的歌名吧。

順帶一提，鄧麗君在利舞台演唱會時，
也曾搭配簡單的舞蹈來表演"Tie a yellow ribbon around the ole oak tree"，
根據估計，有超過一千多位的藝人及團體翻唱過這首歌曲。
